Übergänge

This composition is exclusively based on frequency modulation (FM synthesis). Using a MIDI sequencer to store all FM parameters enabled long continuous sound transformations of all parameters from one sonority to another. However, the title does not only refer to sound transitions but also to transitions between different density states, time layers and other musical parameters (space, duration, dynamics etc..) The work is exploring transitions to their extremes.
