For over 30 years, my work has focused on improvisation and the interpretation of musical concepts that offer musicians freedom for creative expression. As a member of the Ensemble für Intuitive Musik Weimar, Germany, I have participated in countless performances of improvisational concepts by Karlheinz Stockhausen, John Cage, Christian Wolff, Michael Vetter, Vinko Globokar, Markus Stockhausen, Lukas Rohner, Cornelius Cardew, and others, including my own.

The dynamic interplay between voices, instruments, and real-time live transformations is a core focus of my research and teaching.

Participants also contribute their own improvisation concepts and sound treatment ideas.

Together with my fellow members of the Ensemble für Intuitive Musik Weimar, we taught a course on Karlheinz Stockhausen's intuitive music at the Kürten Stockhausen Summer Courses in 2010, 2011, and 2013.
