During my military service, I found two good friends in the visual artists Paik Wünsche and Thomas Offhaus. We met secretly in the evenings and on weekends in a small storeroom where political banners were made. We read, listened to music, and I posed for their pictures and sculptures. The plaster head by Paik Wünsche could not be kept. After a few photographs had been taken, it was destroyed to remove any trace of it.
Later, I used the photographs to create a mask for the Grand Dadaist Action in Weimar in 1994. I combined it with a freely imagined reconstruction of one of Hugo Ball’s costumes.
