Childhood Drawings

ACC_Childhood-drawings-3

From an early age, I had various pencils, pens, wax crayons, and watercolors at hand and spent a lot of time drawing and painting. My grandfather Walther Scheidig often sat at the typewriter in his study. His black Bauhaus desk, with drawers at the sides, also had room for me to sit. So I “worked” beside him. He also had small motors with propellers and batteries to tinker with.

Ritter und Drache (Knight and Dragon) was drawn in wax crayon in 1970. The drawing still hangs in my home and evokes memories.
