I met Gonzalo in Bourges, France, at the Electronic Music Festival in 2000. We developed a mutual appreciation for each other's compositions and have stayed in touch ever since. My visits to Córdoba, Argentina, remain a cherished memory of that friendship. It wasn’t until 2021, during the pandemic, that we considered improvising together over the internet—a practice we continue to do sporadically.
