Inspired by the music of Iannis Xenakis, this composition investigates the interplay between sound masses and spatial movement. Utilizing 24 loudspeakers arranged in a dome around the audience, the piece crafts a highly polyphonic choreography of contrasting sonic entities.
The human voice, along with individual sounds from percussion and orchestral instruments, served as the foundation for dense, layered textures. To shape the spatial dynamics, computer models of falling rocks and flocking birds were adapted into performable structures, allowing for precise control over the movement of sound throughout the dome.
